The practice was asked by our clients to design a new bungalow, on a private site behind a listed house in the historic town of Coggeshall. Working with a listed building consultant, planning permission was secured for a single storey, three-bedroom house of a classical appearance, with a canopied front entrance, sash windows, and box bay windows with seating inside.

The ceiling over the living area is vaulted, and Velux sun tunnels were used to help bring natural light into the middle of the house.
